The Law on the Protection of Personal Data and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force in 2018, published on 7 April 2016 with the decision number 29677, and enforcement has been started against personal data violations. Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Within the scope of GDPR, institutions must ensure compliance with the legislation and their obligations, ensure the physical security of their environments with their data, raise personnel awareness and consultancy services as well as use technological solutions. GDPR compatibility solutions have been developed to prevent misuse of data processing. Solutions such as encrypting data, classifying data, masking data and preventing data loss should be evaluated.
